Martha Stewart Whole Living Magazine named Willow Rosenthal, founder of City Slicker Farms, one of the 15 Inspirational Green Advocates in 2011.  She won the "Urban Gardener" category.

City Slicker Farms has the honor of sharing the 2010 Best Green Project NEN award with Treasure Island Job Corps Farm Project.  The Neighborhood Empowerment Network is a collaborative of community members and non-profit, government and academic agencies striving for "cleaner, greener, healthier, and more safe and inclusive places to live and work".
