Martha Stewart Whole Living Magazine named Willow Rosenthal, founder of City Slicker Farms, one of the 15 Inspirational Green Advocates in 2011.  She won the "Urban Gardener" category.

City Slicker Farms is a big fan of the Ella Baker Center for for Human Rights and we are thrilled that we made "Ella’s Voice Team" Top 10 organizations that helped shape Oakland in 2010.  Thanks Ella's Voice Team!

Treasure Island Job Corps Farm Project and City Slicker Farms are 2010 NEN Awards Recipients!

City Slicker Farms has the honor of sharing the 2010 Best Green Project NEN award with Treasure Island Job Corps Farm Project.  The Neighborhood Empowerment Network is a collaborative of community members and non-profit, government and academic agencies striving for "cleaner, greener, healthier, and more safe and inclusive places to live and work".
