Farm Tours and Service Learning
Please note that City Slicker Farms' programs close for the winter from Thanksgiving to February. Our sites will reopen for workdays and tours in March.
Group farm tours and service learning are an integral part of our educational programs. Every year we welcome dozens of groups to our Community Market Farms. Our visitors range in age from kindergardeners to adults, and have come from neighborhood schools and as far as Japan! Generally we welcome groups to our farms during open hours. Tours last about 45 minutes and can accommodate up to 25 attendees. Service learning workdays last about two hours, including an introduction to our work and a walk-through of the site, and can accommodate up to 15 volunteers. Follow the links below to request a tour or volunteer workday and our staff will follow up with you. Please submit a request form at least two weeks before your anticipated workday or tour.
City Slicker Farms also offers Second Saturday Tours, open to all individuals interested in learning more about what we do. These tours are offered for open registration every second Saturday from Spring to Fall each year and have a suggested $10 donation. All proceeds go toward supporting City Slicker Farms' programs in the community.
To register for a tour, check out our events page.
