What Our Staff Is Up To!

Our staff has started a monthly food justice discussion group! This week we dug into how hierarchy became the standard model of nonprofit leadership and power, and we learned about alternative models that may better embody our values and that emphasize community led solutions and shared leadership. We also studied resources from our friends at Sustainable Economies Law Center and Agroecology Commons. In the coming months we’ll be talking about everything from urban agriculture in a global context, to how too often our movements are plagued by white saviorism and what we can do about it.
