Join us for community workdays at the Farm Park!
We're just a few short months from opening the West Oakland Urban Farm and Park, and things are really ramping up at the site!
Do you want to be a part of this exciting project?
Join us on November 14 and 15 for special community farm workdays!
We're opening our (active) construction site and hosting a small group of volunteers to get started on our farm, and you're invited! Be a part of building out our new community market farm, including:
- Forming farm beds
- Laying irrigation
- Planting drought-tolerant plantings
- Planting out farmbeds (water-dependent)
Be one of the thirty volunteers we're seeking each day on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15.
Space is limited, so register to attend today!
At our last community workday, we built the entire playground! Now, the rough grading of the site is almost done, and the underground utilities and storm drains have been installed. We're ready to start building our farm!
