KaBOOM! PLAYGROUND BUILD
With City Slicker Farms and PG&E
Thursday, August 20, 8 AM – 5 PM
Optional volunteers also needed 8/18 and 8/19
City Slicker Farms is teaming up with KaBOOM! and PG&E to build an amazing new playground at the West Oakland Urban Farm and Park (located at Peralta and Hannah Streets in Oakland). KaBOOM! Build Day is an exciting and inspiring day, and a great chance to encourage community-building among your neighbors, friends, family and co-workers.
Prep Day 1: 08/18/2015
40 volunteers from the community are needed.
8:00 AM - Volunteers arrive and register
4:00 PM - All prep work completed (approximate time)
Prep Day 2: 08/19/2015
15 volunteers from the community should be on "stand-by" in case they are needed.
8:00 AM - Volunteers arrive and register
12:00 PM - All prep work completed (approximate time)
Build Day: 08/20/2015
200 volunteers needed.
6:30 AM - Build Captains arrive
8:00 AM - Volunteers arrive and register
8:30 AM - Kick-Off Ceremony
2:30 PM - Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
