Join Us for Fitzgerald and Union Plaza Work Week Starting Jan 10th
Next week (starting Monday, January 10th) we will be doing some major work on our Fitzgerald and Union Plaza Park site (34th and Peralta Streets, Oakland CA). We will be planting trees and installing flagstone paths and irrigation - this is a great job for someone who really wants to get their hands dirty and get exercise!
Here is a schedule of the projects we plan to do next week:
Monday - all day: Site prep, irrigation, landscape fabric, move and work in compost to border beds, lay bender board
Tuesday - all day: moving and placing flagstone, begin tree planting
Wednesday - all day: finish tree planting, more irrigation, mulching, begin clean up
Thursday - 1/2 day: tweaking of irrigation as needed, finish mulch as needed and clean up

We are partnering with Leslie and Stefani of Star Apple Edible Gardens, who will be leading this project. If you are free to help out for any of the days, or want more information please email Elyse at elyse@cityslickerfarms.org or call her at the office at (510) 763-4241. We will need volunteers to RSVP.
Thank you in advance for all of your hard work and your time. Our work would not be possible without the generosity of our volunteers and community.
Thank You!
